Rio Haryanto (born January 22, 1993) is an Indonesian racing driver. He is best known for being the first Indonesian driver to compete in Formula%20One.
Early Career: Haryanto began his motorsport career in karting before progressing to single-seater racing. He competed in various Formula%20BMW, Formula%20Abarth, and GP3%20Series championships, achieving several victories and podium finishes.
GP2 Series: Haryanto spent several seasons in the GP2%20Series (now Formula 2), where he secured multiple wins and demonstrated his racing talent. His performances in GP2 helped pave the way for his eventual move to Formula One.
Formula One: In 2016, Haryanto made his Formula%20One debut with the Manor%20Racing team. However, his time in F1 was cut short due to financial issues, and he was replaced midway through the season. He participated in 12 races.
Post-F1 Career: After leaving Formula One, Haryanto has remained involved in motorsport, although he hasn't returned to a full-time racing seat. He has expressed interest in future racing opportunities.
